  Meijer has had this location in Rolling Meadows for several years now but we had not gone there until recently. It is a little out of the way for us, but not too bad. We decided to try it after looking at their newspaper insert and saw their selection and prices.
  
  The place is huge. Think Target cross-bred with Super Walmart and a large grocery store. It seems like they carry just about everything. Car parts and hardware, clothing and electronics, furniture and office supplies. And, their grocery selection is much larger and more diverse than anything in the area. Their prices are much lower than the big grocery chains (Jewel, Mariano's, Whole Foods), and their choices are greater. I don't think their produce is as good as some others though.
  
  If you don't do dairy, they have the largest selection of nondairy products I've seen around Chicago. Soy, coconut, hemp, almond and cashew milks and ice creams. I was thrilled when I saw that.
  
  So now, we have been passing all of these other stores to shop at Meijer. I still prefer Valli and Mariano's for produce and cold cuts, but this is our new go to store for about everything else.
